up_the_ironsraptelan: well, i don't like an upgrade path with a barrier. like, if a single-host client becomes multiple-host, then i would have to redo their whole networking (new IPs, from shared /24 to an individual VLAN /29, etc...)
the way it is now, single-host clients are treated the same as multiple-host, making the upgrade path seemless
