anyone helps me?
[15:17]
........ (idle for 38mn)
prowlnakano: Instead of asking for help, it is generally productive to ask a specific question. What seems to be the problem? [15:57]
nakanoi'm going to upgrade my vps and i already contacted with support guy. but no response from the second email.. i just wanted to know what's happening..
i just sent a message to the support board again.

shmgetanyone in here use openbsd? is it mostly used for routers, or do some use it for web hosting? [18:41]
mike-burnsA handful of us in here use it for Web hosting, though not myself.
It's quite secure by default and, of course, can serve Web pages just fine.
[18:45]
shmgetbetween FreeBSD and OpenBSD, it is mostly a preference, right? I've used FreeBSD for probably 10 years now, but only dabbled with OpenBSD [18:48]
mike-burnsI mean, OS choice is mostly a preference. They're both unix and quite comparable. I stick with FreeBSD because it's what I know well. [18:48]
***visinin has quit IRC (Quit: yeah) [18:51]
shmgetare you one of the admins of arphosting mike-burns? [18:53]
mike-burnsI am not.

[18:54]
shmgetits definitely the fastest BSD virtual host I've found [18:55]
mike-burnsIt definitely has the most fun IRC channel. [18:55]

up_the_ironsSue-sama: email support@arpnetworks.com [19:10]
Sue-samaalright, but it was a quick question [19:11]
up_the_ironsSue-sama: then ask
don't ask to ask
;)
[19:11]
***ballen has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving...) [19:22]
Sue-samasorry, i've gotten shouted at about asking before
anyway, are there any provisions to grow a vps?
[19:29]
***dja has joined #arpnetworks [19:33]
djaanyone know how much extra disk space costs? [19:35]
***heavysixer has quit IRC (Quit: heavysixer) [19:39]

Sue-sama>_> [20:09]
mike-burnsYes you can grow a VPS, email support@ with how you'd like it changed and up_the_irons will change it ASAP.
I do not know how much things here cost, though.
[20:10]
Sue-samathanks
it was just funny that someone comes in directly after me and asks the same thing
[20:11]
mike-burnsHa, yeah. [20:12]
Sue-samaso far arp has been pretty good though, in terms of service and speed. I've been with linode forever and moving to arp I've gotten way better timings on all of my services.
one other question though was it said on the website that there was smp available, but /proc/cpuinfo states that i've only got one proc
is that extra?
[20:15]
mike-burnsLooks like I only have one CPU too. That must be extra. [20:17]
djaFreeBSD/SMP: Multiprocessor System Detected: 4 CPUs
:)
[20:18]
Sue-samaweird [20:20]
djaits $2 per core I believe
I sent a support request for cost of extra disk space, trying to get a customer website down from their current usage of 16GB to 10GB
[20:20]
Sue-sama[ 0.150000] Brought up 1 CPUs [20:22]
