up_the_ironsobsidieth: have you seen the new: https://www.arpnetworks.com/order?product=vps
obsidieth: a /28 subnet (16 IPs, 13 usable) is $8 per month
obsidieth: i can add even larger blocks, just haven't done so. more than a few IPs is not a frequent request. /27, /26, /25, all possible, but justification must conform to RFC2050
[18:11]
.... (idle for 17mn)
obsidiethyeah thats what i had in mind, thanks ill check er out [18:30]

[19:21]
up_the_ironsoh duh
:)
[19:21]
bigshehe
what did you concentrate on
or did you?
i do algorithm theory
and some complexity theory
[19:21]
up_the_ironsmine was generic, there wasn't a specific "option" I could pick [19:23]
bigsyeh
we don't really do that
but i took mostly classes
in thsoe topics :p
i mostly took*
hehe
[19:23]
up_the_ironsAbout the only thing I could pick was my electives and then a "tech minor", in which you had to do 3 upper division classes in <pick one>. where <pick one> was any engineering (other than CS), biology, physics, etc...
I chose physics
cool
so in physics, I did Analytic Mechanis (2 courses) and Fluid Mechanics (1 course)
bigs: so are you still CS, or did you switch?
[19:24]
bigsi finished it
ahh
physics :)
a past lvoe
love*
hehe
[19:28]
up_the_ironsyeah, physics is great [19:29]
bigsalright

up_the_ironswudup ppl [23:19]
ballenoh hi [23:20]
up_the_ironshey ballen [23:20]
ballenI disklike Safari right now
using http://calendar.moonscript.com/dateinput.cfm
[23:21]
up_the_ironsup_the_irons is a Firefox guy [23:21]
ballenin safari, when I click a one of the selects it line wraps the whole set
in Firefox it works fine
I use Safari almost exclusively
[23:22]
up_the_ironsi c
why not another calendar script? there's lots... the jquery one works in safari
[23:23]
ballendon't want all of jquery [23:24]
up_the_ironsi can understand that
you *can* get just certain parts. the core is quite small, like 18K
[23:25]
ballentrue [23:26]
up_the_ironsi was concerned with bloat as well, when deciding to use jquery on pledgie.com [23:26]
ballenmeaning this one: http://jqueryui.com/demos/datepicker/ [23:26]
obsidiethi use opera for some reason :(
firefox and low ram machines just doesnt fly
[23:30]
ballentrue [23:30]
up_the_ironsyeah, low ram is death to firefox
ballen: that datepicker is the one, yes
[23:32]
ballenyea, don't want to have to bring in all of jquery and its css/images, et
c
[23:33]
up_the_ironsyeah [23:33]
ballenand fixed
stupid ass css
any idea how to force sinatra to log post params?
[23:40]
up_the_ironsno clue [23:52]
ballenyea puts works I guess [23:53]
up_the_ironsLOL
that's exactly what i was doing last night ;)
puts everywhere
[23:54]
ballenyea
sigh... stupid redis based app... doesn't order posts by date
[23:55]
up_the_ironsouch [23:55]
ballendamn me and my list index
the index is just a list, and the app just takes a range from it
and hence it gets the posts in the order they are in the list
[23:55]
up_the_ironscan you order the list? [23:57]
ballenwill have to read all the post's created_at dates, delete the list
and recreate it
[23:57]
up_the_ironsoh i c
are u on twitter?
[23:57]
ballennot that big of deal
ya
@unilogic
[23:58]
up_the_ironsoh, i think i already follow you [23:58]

;-)
[23:58]
up_the_irons:) [23:59]

up_the_ironsboth i think, but i'm going to follow w/ my personal account @up_the_irons [23:59]
