I'm curious if this is the same as bare metal in the idea that I want to run a devuan/debian virtual via bhyve on a FreeBSD host. I have to use the vm because of the need for a specific ruby module which is linux only. [12:47] laidback_01: it should, theoretically, be possible [13:21] I suppose the only way to find out is to try. I ordered over the weekend. any idea how long these take to provision? [15:12] laidback_01: it'll be done today; we worked all weekend on a large proposal (deadline today, and we're still working on it), so we're behind on provisioning orders. I apologize! [15:14] oh, I'm thinking my email is screwed up... lol, I just sent a note asking to confirm if you are getting my emails. I'm leaving my current host because I can't get delisted from some blacklists the prior occupant of the IP got listed in... so I want a clean IP for my email server... it's just for myself and family. [15:18] laidback_01: my phone just buzzed with your latest email lol... it works! :) [15:19] Understood about the large orders causing a backlog. I'll leave you be. have a good day, not trying to be a pest. [15:23] laidback_01: have a good day yourself! and you're not being a pest, I can understand wanting to know the status of your order. It's all good! [18:56] laidback_01: sent all your new welcome emails about an hour ago :) [23:39] hey, I was out most of the evening, thanks for finishing that up. I'll change passwords, but them I'm off to sleep [23:48] I note a slew of these messages in 'dmesg' : UFS /dev/gpt/rootfs (/) cylinder checksum failed: cg 10, cgp: 0x6c3eb9e7 != bp: 0xc6639e68 [23:49] I'm pretty much unfamiliar with UFS (my local desktop is freebsd with zfs/root and I've just not used UFS much. anyway, I have to think the checksum issue is an artifact of it being a virtual drive?
