One OSD host decided to kicked itself into the trash can. There was a SAS controller reset, which makes Linux very unhappy. A reboot fixed the issue.
On a completely different subject, let me just say that I'm loving my X1 Carbon... I think this is my favorite laptop to-date. Arch Linux was certainly an absolute pain in the ass to everything working right, but at the end of the day, it's done, working perfectly, and I'm sure saving battery life since I don't have anything installed that I don't absolutely need
*to get
xparanoik: what kind of tuning did you have to do to get everything working right?

mike-burns: Glad to hear you're liking your X1 Carbon!
up_the_irons: xparanoik: too much to list really... many little things; sound, wifi, printing, etc... these things don't "just work" like with Ubuntu
mike-burns: me too!
mercutio: overall do you prefer arch linux or ubuntu ?
my biggest issue i've had with arch linux has been zfs not being part of the standard kernel
but that's the case for most OS
it seems that may change with ubuntu soon though
