every five minutes the monitoring connects via tcp and then immediately disconnects if it was successful

It had been that I'd go weeks and weeks without a hiccup, but 4 times in the past 2 weeks is odd. I will leave an mtr running, at least then I'll see if there's been any route changes or packet loss, albeit without timestamps. I'm not [currently] complaining, everything reconects on its own, and I haven't personally noticed it (been impacted by it directly). it wasn't complex between the cages. it was bridging mkb: perhaps i have a low bar for complex ;) mercutio: bridging is simple... but can cause issues :) mkb: more complicated than only having one cage anyway mercutio: but that's only because it's simple. . like if there's a loop

i think you wer elooking at logs of brycebot though? brycec: Could be Freenode rebooting a server or whatever. I don't have disconnection reasons (eg: "timed-out") since weechat is insulated by way of an IRC bouncer (same host), I just get the messages from Freenode as it reconnects.
I don't have logs for BryceBot going back more than an hour, so I couldn't be :P mercutio: odd byrcebot connected one minute exactly after brycec
