up_the_irons: brycec: why, it _does_ appear kvr18 had rebooted. 21 hours ago. So weird, our monitoring did not go off at all. Must have rebooted quickly.
-: brycec was starting to think up_the_irons had gone on vacation
brycec: I gather your monitoring doesn't alert for uptime regression :p
up_the_irons: no it does not
brycec: (Not that I begrudge you vacation or anything)
Well I appreciate the confirmation at least :)
(I did not appreciate having to reassemble my filesystem from lost+found/)
up_the_irons: wow it was that bad?
what fs are you using?
brycec: ffs (openbsd)
It was about 30 files from /var/log
RandalSchwartz: for f. s. ? :)
brycec: Fast File System
http://man.openbsd.org/OpenBSD-current/man8/mount_ffs.8 since you're curious
up_the_irons: ah OK
RandalSchwartz: heh

mercutio: was that with softdep bryce?
brycec: No
s/No/Yes
BryceBot: <brycec> Yes
brycec: /dev/wd0e on /var type ffs (local, noatime, nodev, nosuid, softdep)
mercutio: heh
i suspect openbsd isn't sending flushes up through kvm properly.
i kind of wish someone would fix that stuff up in openbsd.. read-ahead seems to be broken too
