Hey guys. anyone else have issues with the console?
I always seem to have trouble using it (ssh or web)
I just booted a server, ssh console, (freebsd), Displays the initial loading of the kernel, then just black screen scrolling.. hah
Web, same.. only it just has a cursor
had an issue a month or so ago and Garry wrote "This looks to be a bug in FreeBSD 10.x and the serial port output
upon boot. It simply takes about 10 minutes for FreeBSD to get past
the boot stage."
Wonder if it's the same thing. though this is fbsd 8.3 (don't ask lol)
 yeah just give it some time, or disable serial console in advanced paramters of vps config

Okay, who broke kvr21? For the second time this week, my VPS has spontaneously "exploded" -- network seems to stop responding, VNC and serial consoles are still sortof alive (they show kernel syslog which includes the usual stream of iptables blocks) and react very, very sluggishly to input (meaning any attempt to login "times out") And in the syslog kernel output: [339120.316011] INFO: task kworker/0:3:23176 ...
... blocked for more than 120 seconds.
The last loadavg (hurray for having the loadavg in my tmux) was mid-2s which is a bit high, but not extraordinary.
So I have to wonder if the underlying storage is going nuts on me.
(Ticket submitted too. I'm antsy to get this back online, of course.)
