I fucked up a file merge (/etc/defaults/rc.conf) during a fbsd 10.2 -> 10.3 upgrade this morning. Now I can't even get the console to boot single user mode to fix it [11:48] console just hangs on "Booting".. not sure what I can do here [11:49] Boot from rescue disc? [11:58] via arp console? [11:59] I mean, changing the iso. I don't see that option. [12:01] http://support.arpnetworks.com/kb/dedicated-servers/how-do-i-access-my-arp-metal-dedicated-server-console [12:09] Right.. I've loaded it but the console doesn't show me the menu upon boot.. ie, all I see is "press [Enter] to boot from default boot device" and a I can't see other options.. Does anyone know to press to tell it to boot off cd? this is a VPS, not a dedi service (doubt that matters) [12:13] nvm, got it [12:14] no luck, I'll submit a support request [14:43] *** meingtsla has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving) [14:45] *** meingtsla has joined #arpnetworks [18:33] *** Nahual has joined #arpnetworks [19:00] *** Nahual has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving.) [19:02] sorressean: formal support request is faster than posting here anyway ;) [19:11] wow, the post about Hetzner and DPCs is interesting [19:15] yeah, they are terrible in a lot of ways, but that is something I think every other hoster should follow [19:15] yeah [19:22] and the price difference is massive: normally, they sell a TB for 1.39 EUR, if you want DTAG connectivity, it's 3.50 EUR [19:47] *** Guest75051 has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 250 seconds) [19:49] *** sjackso has joined #arpnetworks [19:49] *** sjackso is now known as Guest5492 [19:54] *** neish has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer) [19:54] *** neish has joined #arpnetworks [19:55] *** nathani has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 264 seconds) [19:55] *** KILLALLHUMANS01 has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 264 seconds) [19:55] *** pjs has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 264 seconds) [19:55] *** tellnes has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 264 seconds) [19:55] *** hycer has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 264 seconds) [19:55] *** KDE_Perry has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 264 seconds) [19:55] *** staticsafe has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 264 seconds) [19:55] *** Guest5492 has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 260 seconds) [19:56] *** sjackso_ has joined #arpnetworks [19:59] *** KDE_Perry has joined #arpnetworks [20:00] *** hycer has joined #arpnetworks [20:00] *** staticsafe has joined #arpnetworks [20:01] *** nathani has joined #arpnetworks [20:02] *** KILLALLHUMANS01 has joined #arpnetworks [20:02] *** KILLALLHUMANS01 has quit IRC (Changing host) [20:02] *** KILLALLHUMANS01 has joined #arpnetworks [20:02] *** KILLALLHUMANS01 has quit IRC (Changing host) [20:02] *** KILLALLHUMANS01 has joined #arpnetworks [20:02] *** pjs has joined #arpnetworks [20:03] *** pjs is now known as Guest2203 [20:03] *** tellnes has joined #arpnetworks [21:18] Would you do this if you think you have been hacked?
