RandalInHospital | got serious problems.... first day in ICU (about a month ago), my machine got virus'ed, took out local access, but I think also killed my .ssh on red.stonehenge.com
I have a root password that will work on console, but no longer have clean access to my email or the original ssh client key. I'm stuck in low bandwidth rehab center for another 4 weeks but I want to start getting red back into shape.... hopefullly the zfs snap is still there. if someone trustable can get to my console (up_in_irons?) I can give root pw preferably someone with freebsd and zfs exp I will pay appropriately call me at rehab center 310 477 5501. ask for randal schwartz | [16:25] |

RandalInHospital | yes
i think it's still in the ZFS snapshot if I get there fast enough in fact, once I remembered a few passwords not in 1password, I got to about 95% of my online content.... just not on red i think the virus just did ssh red rm -rf .ssh to force me to reveal my password by typing it | [17:30] |

mkb | my netflix password is 50 characters long
from their javascript "var d = o.password.length >= 4 && o.password.length < 50; if (!d) { [ refuse to submit login request ] }" | [18:17] |
...... (idle for 26mn) | ||
brycec | mkb: So... you're unable to login to Netflix? Since "(50 < 50)" is false ;) | [18:44] |
mkb | exactly
It must have been <= 50 before | [18:44] |
fIorz | WTF?
who ever got the idea that an upper limit on password length was sensible? | [18:47] |
mkb | what idiot does anything more than pass it to the server client-side | [18:50] |
BryceBot | YER AN IDIOT mkb | [18:50] |
fIorz | and that anyway, yeah | [18:52] |
mkb | oh this is great
I finally stopped trying to debug javascript and just said I forgot it and it wants me to set a password of up to 60 characters | [19:03] |
