if you are a Cisco person, private VLAN has a different meaning than the one intended by the article

we simply mean the VLAN of the account
if you are a cisco person then eveything is named differently
so you're used to it :)
for those that dont know, it this trickery where you put a bunch of devices in say a shared /24, but they act like separate vlans as they cant communicate with each other directly

you would put the gateway on a promiscuous port, which can talk to all the others
so if a device has only 1 NIC, then it would have to also be on that promisc port?
thereby kinda defeating the purpose...
everyone automatically can talk to the promiscous port
just not to each other
