mercutio | 500 seconds or just ove 8 miunutes.
oh yeah 10 gigabytes would be that 50 seconds yeh my amiga does 270k/sec :) 28.8k modems used to do about 3k/sec. | [22:57] |
mnathani_ | my internet connection maxes out at about 11.2 Megabytes/sec | [22:58] |
mercutio | do you have 100 megabit ethernet? | [22:59] |
mnathani_ | gigabit to my gateway | [22:59] |
mercutio | lots of cable etc connectinos that are rate limited to 100 megabit will burst a bit higher for a moment | [22:59] |
mnathani_ | 100meg to wan | [22:59] |
mercutio | ahh | [22:59] |
mnathani_ | wan port itself is gigabit also
but the cable modem connected to it is capped at 100meg | [23:00] |
mercutio | 100 megabit ethernet?
or 100 megabit rate limit? 100 megabit at least means it's likely to be docsis 3 the docsis 2 stuff can really bring cable speeds down, .. so if your neighbours etc are using docsis 2 it can slow your docsis 3 down there's likely to be some more cable speed boosts too. but atm it seems lot of cable providers are oversubscribing, and raising bandwidth when it won't necessarily be able to maxed out reliably because bigger numbers are better! what upload speed do you have? | [23:00] |
mnathani_ | 10mbit | [23:05] |
