I've never had an issue. I have a handful of VM's that have no issues with it - granted they're only doing one or two tasks, plenty of that 256MB (or 192MB, etc) is free for apt/dpkg operations. actually with ubuntu it was partially that thing that runs when you login that checks for new version arch linux is fine on 256mb :) and openbsd was great on 256mb openbsd is great on 96MBN :P *MB (and even less I'm sure, though that's the smallest I've tried lately) FYI mercutio I'm done fiddling with zeit. It's all up-to-date, better secured, and totally monitored :D (feels good finally getting around to that) yeah you were saying i haven't poked around (well I wasn't *done* done when I said it. Now I am :p) ahh (I was done with the upgrade and such, but not with setting up the monitoring... which takes more time and effort.) ahh brycec: roger that! hmm.. yeah why _did_ i give it so much ram up_the_irons: because you're a kind and generous person? :) pretty much :) I'm surprised to say that zeit does more data transfer than I'd expected, averaging about 150MB/hr combined. wow mnathani_, weechat 0.4.3? is it really that old? "has quit (Quit: WeeChat 0.4.3)" released Feb 2014 And we're on 1.3 now :p 1.3 is conspicuously absent from https://weechat.org/about/history/ for whatever reason. But you get the idea. would you recommend compiling? I'm just running the packaged version, no need to compile I'm on Centos so its probably really old ohlol, yeah everything centos is ancient :p Who knows, maybe EPEL or whatever has something newer http://serverfault.com/questions/640831/cmake-error-on-compiling-weechat-from-sources someone else having issues with no solution They asked back in Oct 2014, so they were probably trying 1.0 at the time And really, they're asking in the wrong place - they should be asking weechat for help, not randos on serverfault (Also the fact they contradict themselves causes me to doubt their ability to do basic troubleshooting. but I'm also deeply jaded from years in techsup_ heh is someone upgrading? hmm /version is server version i'm on weechat 1.3 /version in the root weechat console is client version 12:45:22 | WeeChat 1.3 [compiled on Aug 16 2015 09:43:05] yip /version mercutio did it brycec has a weird version response :) oh in the root weechat what's the root weechat console? mercutio: alt-1 usually that has servers which shows server version still Here (And yes, I have a custom CTCP VERSION response :P) mercutio: not for me... mnathani is doing something dirty. Should be updated now Congrats mnathani, now was that so hard? :P oh mnathani_ is mnathani upgraded. damn tab complete :) mnathani_ is using mirc :) yes, that is correct i haven't even noticed a change in weechat in ages I am glad my relay is still working do you use centos at home mnathani_ ? its my ssh box headless . , + My Belkin WeMo is acting up It lost power for a bit now refuses to connect > Belkin I haven't had good luck with anything branded Belkin :/ its working now but its a flakey device
