mike-burns: http://www.tarsnap.com/man-tarsnap.1.html - for more
pyvpx: mnathani_: I know some people use it as a vpn concentrator. which seems odd but *shrug* it works for them.
mercutio: tarsnap as a vpn concentrator?
oh pfsense
yeah i've heard of people using pfsense for vpns too
a lot of people assume that vpns are complicated to setup i think
and l2tp/ipsec vpn is actually kind of complicated to set up
but is generally considered the "best" vpn
as it works on apple devices out of the box etc
openvpn is more firewall friendly though
grody: i have 4 years of backups - and honestly havent been dealt with
the remote folder has a large heiarchy of folders with dates, years and types - it is a mess
thats merely a script that rsyncs 'live' data, then after 24 hours, gets archived for the next days 'live' copy
ugh so much for my 3G failover
fttc line flapped, 3G fell over with it
bloody openwrt
eek plett, what on earth have they done to clueless?? It's weird looking and no logout button :P
plett: grody: No idea I'm afraid, I'm not at A&A any more
grody: aww :(
plett: grody: But I've just logged in and it looks the same as always
grody: hmm
i have no side menu any more
still have dealer/manager access, just looks different than it did before
do you have a logout button?
plett: I have a logout, yes

i thought it came out on 18th
mike-burns: The packages are released to the public early.

mercutio: ahh
BryceBot: openbsd-misc: "Re: CD's arrived" from Theo de Raadt <deraadt () cvs ! openbsd ! org> @ 2015-10-07 16:01:00
mercutio: ahh so cd's can come in earlier than network
so that's why packages are around early?
brycec: preorders ship with the aim to arrive on release date, but the world is a big place
mercutio: no-one complains about getting things early :)
brycec: Well, women do sometimes...
