mnathani_mercutio: I am curious if you zoom to view web pages on your 4k display, also if you view them maximised full screen
I would assume the font might be too small to view
also how do fluid width pages look compared to fixed width. Do you get a lot of empty space on the sides?

mercutiomnathani_: i mostly view pages on my 1440p display
but on borth i maximise to fuull screen normally yes, and i zoom normally yes.
basically everything looks shit unless you zoom, empty space on sides happens with 16:9 in general with older stuf
stuff
so like kernel.org has lots of spac eon the sides
which is slightly more on my 4k settings
[13:57]
mike-burnsWhy do you run full screen if it doesn't look great? [14:02]
mercutiomike-burns: so i don't get distracted?
and so i can see clearly
linux's 4k support in chrome is improving
but i seem to find it slow/buggy still
so i mostly just use 4k for terminals :/
and keep browsing for windows

mnathani_does your display do more than 30Hz for 4k? [15:03]
mercutioyeh
it's only 60 hz
damn lcd pushing refresh rates down :/
my 1440p display overclocks to 96 hz fine :)
which does seem to be of slight benefit
doesn't fix movies though, the 24 fps on movies is so annoying
