Interesting read > https://blog.thousandeyes.com/comparing-dns-root-server-performance/ silly question, what time zone would my VPS be in? reinstalling a completely forgot whatever timezone you want it to be in the physical machine is in Pacific, but that doesn't mean your VPS has to be on that TZ ahh, LAX that'd be PT i just prefer them in their native timezones, helps IDing them roughing through logs I prefer GMT since the timezone isn't printed in the logs smoe people standardise on UTC oh that's what he said basically i set to my own local time you can easily adjust mkb, zabbix does :p i did try my luck at upgrading from 8.4 to 10.1 and spectacularly failed but at least now i get the chance to redo everything properly.. my jail management was shot err, FreeBSD 8.4 to 10.1 is anybody else running FreeBSD 10.1 on a VPS? noticing disk i/o is quite a bit slower than vs 8.4 are you using virt i/o? cheers :)
