mercutio: re the drupal comment, do you know any other thing that lets me basically do that
i just want to define types
and be able to import a ton of content offloaded from elsewhere
like for a game item database or something, i just used drupal's CCK/custom fields
and views to get search/sort/categorize in a few clicks
sorry dunno, i just know drupal has a poor security record.
(And Joomla's has been slightly worse)
i have no idea what the solution is :)
I really like Drupal. I think its a powerful content management system
that allows non coders to accomplish things that would normally require custom coding
as for the security aspects, I think Core is pretty secure, its when folks add modules that dont have the same screening and code review process is when the security issues crop up
