a day late but i don't think you need load on it to make sure you don't short the PSU out
load is there to make sure it runs under load
*burn
mm: https://superuser.com/questions/507415/can-i-damage-a-psu-if-i-test-it-without-applying-it-a-load
I certainly don't think you'd damage it in the minute it takes to make sure it's producing the right voltages
maybe it would run too hot or something
i think voltages can be a bit diff without load
i think it's less regulated
regardless sticking some load on is probably better if you want to test voltages being within spec.
but load shouldn't be needed to tell if you have dead fuse or osmething
yeah you guys seem to be right
i guess voltages would shoot up
i think it's not by that much
like 10% or something
and I'm not sure what the circuit looks like, but parts of it may not even be a active when not connected to anything
that'd make sense
It's easy for a power supply to fail under load, but unloaded appear fine
(first-hand experience)
This is way, way too fucking funny to me right now http://cube-drone.com//2014_11_16-99_Ingenuity.html
