pyvpx: I regularly do installs of Linux and FreeBSD using IPMI redirected serial-over-lan. If NetBSD still has a text-mode installer and presents a login: prompt on a serial port, then you don't need the whole GUI console redirection
i think it can provide that, but it tends to provide the curses-style ui for installs

if not completely silent, then perhaps relatively silent? Kind of like a desktop with silent Power Supply and CPU fans
