Yes that's correct. You will be given the option whether you want your existing disk grown (and it's up to you to grow the partition table and partitions), or if you'd like the additinoal space as a new "disk" attached to your VPS.

I did, but don't remember the password and email is hosed because it relies on dns hosted on the vps that's hosed so I can't get a reset email :/

i split up my domains between a couple gandi handles - the domains w/email handling are pointed to an @outlook address
