[00:00] hah [00:00] * ant <- bad student [00:00] what is the topic? [00:01] synthesis and optimization of microelectronic systems [00:01] nice [00:02] studieren Sie.. uhh.. Electrical Engineering? [00:02] computer engineering [00:03] nice [00:03] btw. as you would adress me by my first name, it would be Du [00:04] studierst du? [00:04] (in german irc channels i've never seen anybody saying Sie) [00:04] roger that [00:04] up_the_irons: right [00:04] ok cool [00:05] yeah that is the problem with a lot of text book stuff, and a lot of these little extra Android apps i have for German, they all tend to defer to the Sie version of things, being "safer" i guess [00:05] so i hear that, get used to it, and probably use it too much [00:06] probably. saying du when Sie is apropriate is way ruder than the other way round [00:06] right [00:09] When my Mom saw i was doing duolingo for German, she asks "Spreche Sie Deutsch?"... now.. given that she is my Mom and knows me on a first name basis, would it have been more appropriate for her to say "Sprichst du Deutsch?" [00:09] yes. especially as she is a family member [00:09] got it [00:10] i will correct her next time :) [00:48] *** TheHiTCHO has joined #arpnetworks [02:15] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [02:16] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [02:24] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [02:25] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [02:32] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [02:33] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [02:40] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [02:42] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [02:47] *** ese has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 245 seconds) [02:48] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [02:49] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [02:52] *** ese has joined #arpnetworks [02:58] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [02:59] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [03:08] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [03:09] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [03:13] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [03:15] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [03:19] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [03:20] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [03:29] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [03:30] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [03:35] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [03:36] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [04:25] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection) [04:25] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [04:31] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [04:32] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [04:36] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [04:37] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [04:45] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [04:46] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [04:55] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [04:56] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [05:02] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [05:04] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [05:11] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [05:11] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [05:11] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Changing host) [05:11] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [05:19] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [05:20] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [05:24] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [05:25] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [05:30] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [05:31] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [05:40] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [06:27] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [06:32] *** xiphias has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [06:41] *** ese has quit IRC (*.net *.split) [06:41] *** TheHiTCHO has quit IRC (*.net *.split) [06:41] *** NiTeMaRe has quit IRC (*.net *.split) [06:41] *** staticsafe-znc has quit IRC (*.net *.split) [06:42] *** heavysixer has joined #arpnetworks [06:42] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o heavysixer [06:43] *** ese has joined #arpnetworks [06:43] *** TheHiTCHO has joined #arpnetworks [06:43] *** NiTeMaRe has joined #arpnetworks [06:43] *** staticsafe-znc has joined #arpnetworks [06:54] *** forgotten has quit IRC (Quit: leaving) [06:59] laotzi: forgot that step, pressing air out before flipping [06:59] *** xiphias has joined #arpnetworks [06:59] figure it out in a hurry because if you don't do it, the plunger can sometimes fly out (my wife found this out) [06:59] haha [06:59] figured it* [07:18] hehe [07:39] *** heavysixer has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer) [07:40] *** heavysixer has joined #arpnetworks [07:40] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o heavysixer [08:36] *** heavysixer has quit IRC (Quit: heavysixer) [08:39] *** heavysixer has joined #arpnetworks [08:39] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o heavysixer [09:50] *** toddf has quit IRC (Read error: No route to host) [09:50] *** toddf has joined #arpnetworks [09:50] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o toddf [09:54] *** heavysixer has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer) [09:54] *** heavysixer_ has joined #arpnetworks [09:54] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o heavysixer_ [09:56] *** sarkis has joined #arpnetworks [09:58] man that one band ironmaiden [09:58] i hate those guys [10:00] O_% [10:13] *** heavysixer_ has quit IRC (Quit: heavysixer_) [10:18] *** heavysixer has joined #arpnetworks [10:18] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o heavysixer [10:36] *** sng has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection) [10:44] *** heavysixer has quit IRC (Quit: heavysixer) [11:18] up_the_irons: I need a refund.
