when it failed to boot * up_the_irons: virtio on freebsd will not boot hosts kvr26 and lower. you'll need to request change to ide (so yeah, since your vps was ubuntu, it is optimized for ubuntu; you'll want to open a support ticket for the settings to be changed to freebsd) m0unds: gotcha - i put in a request a bit ago to reuqest a change to freebsd
