brycec: mercutio : you guys are thinking too hard.  admin's get SSH access to my ring box and I get SSH access to theirs.  So everyone has access to everyone else's system.  you can login to whichever one you want at a given time.  If I see routing problems in Asia, I might pick a ring node that is located in that region, and then troubleshoot
