what's a good twitter extension/app for Chrome that *doesn't* require "Allow me to see everything you're fucking doing" (e.g. "All tabs and browsing activity")

although the bitlbee does need to be current

which means i _really_ need to upgrade that box

brycec: bitlbee and skype? what? my msn via current bitlbee doesn't work, so i'm using centerim for msn for now, any skype source I've seen talks about using some api to a skype binary running on windows ..

you realize skype is destined to retire api goodness yes? and that I run OpenBSD .. I like source for my IM protocols
and then bitlbee connects to skyped over my vpn
someone needs to reverse engineer the skype protocol in a free country where it is not illegal then share with the rest of us (I don't care if IM only works but ..)
hazardous: I never claimed it was without the skype client. I just stated that I have skype in bilbee.
