my friend just had ddos hit his network
and i'd been leaving a mtr back to him
and then it goes away, i think something bigger is happening
localised issue makes me feel a bit more reassured that the internet isn't crumbling

didn't have netsplit but a bunch of people timed out from the server
on my network that is

lots of join/parts
connection reset by peer, looks like a server went offline and people auto reconnected
also there weren't as many as i at first thought, no-one had been talking for hours..
