when that happens i just do a /lastlog for important terms then not read everything else hmm lastlog says unknown command it's an irssi thing just shows lines from buffer ahh 2nd call: 2013-02-08 18:10:57 @up_the_irons who wants to test out some backup space? (chroot shell with stuff like tar, dd, cpio, rsync, gzip, bzip2, etc...) 2013-02-08 18:11:19 @up_the_irons sftp too 2013-02-08 18:11:23 @up_the_irons scp i've made a lot more progress on the new "backup space for customers" project. it's gonna be 10 cents per GB, so very affordable. interested parties, email support@ your ssh pub key(s) and with that... time to logoff I hate it when this happens: todd@hp/qV ~¦7$ xlsclients | wc -l 107 todd@hp/qV ~¦9$ xeyes & [1] 32288 todd@hp/qV ~¦10$ xterm Maximum number of clients reachedxterm: Xt error: Can't open display: :0 I keep forgetting on newly installed systems to bump the fd limits for X in the system (X can handle 512 or so) ha, xlsclients | wc -l 5 wow 107? Have you ever considered a terminal multiplexer? :p (33 for me) huh toddf: i had issuse with pty limits on openbsd 10+ years ago before even hitting that limit i think i found a solution to pty limit too though defaults in openbsd are always low for various reasons between security and sanity in the pty case, /dev/MAKEDEV doesn't make many by default cd /dev;sh ./MAKEDEV pty{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} usually is more than enough for me ;-) that makes /dev/pty[0-9A-Za-z] * 9 .. as long as you're not concerned about inodes in / and having 'too many ptys available for use' .. ;-) i think i worked around it somehow it used to bite me often it was something like 32 limit before i think So silent here. Whats going on nm watching a movie nm installing ubuntu and freebsd at the same time badly is it just me or is courier-imap with userdb incapable of serving multiple maildirs up_the_irons ping how's it going pjs up_the_irons good good.. I believe so, yea.. well, so they say.. I'm logged into their account now I see their info, but the CC# doesn't show, but I didn't expect it to pjs: pm me the username
