mercutio: hmm lastlog says unknown command
hazardous: it's an irssi thing

mercutio: ahh
up_the_irons: 2nd call:
2013-02-08 18:10:57 @up_the_irons who wants to test out some backup space? (chroot shell with stuff like tar, dd, cpio, rsync, gzip, bzip2, etc...)
2013-02-08 18:11:19 @up_the_irons sftp too
2013-02-08 18:11:23 @up_the_irons scp
i've made a lot more progress on the new "backup space for customers" project. it's gonna be 10 cents per GB, so very affordable.
interested parties, email support@ your ssh pub key(s)
and with that... time to logoff

(33 for me)
hazardous: huh
mercutio: toddf: i had issuse with pty limits on openbsd 10+ years ago
before even hitting that limit
i think i found a solution to pty limit too though
toddf: defaults in openbsd are always low for various reasons between security and sanity
in the pty case, /dev/MAKEDEV doesn't make many by default
cd /dev;sh ./MAKEDEV pty{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} usually is more than enough for me ;-)
that makes /dev/pty<char>[0-9A-Za-z] * 9 .. as long as you're not concerned about inodes in / and having 'too many ptys available for use' .. ;-)
mercutio: i think i worked around it somehow
it used to bite me often
it was something like 32 limit before i think

pjs: up_the_irons ping
up_the_irons: how's it going pjs
pjs: up_the_irons good good.. I just brought you a new client
up_the_irons so they're a client of mine, I'm going to setup 2 VPS's for them
but they want me to do the ordering.. they gave me their account details
can I submit the order with those details and the card you already have on file for this account?
or do they need to submit the 2 orders
?
***: _mnathani_ has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer)
pjs: up_the_irons *cough*
up_the_irons: pjs: sorry was afk
pjs: heh np
up_the_irons: pjs: you want them under your account or their own?
pjs: up_the_irons their own.. they created the account already. I can PM you the username. They just want me to order the VPS's for them..
they assume since I have their account info, they dont need to provide me their CC number
up_the_irons: pjs: so they created a portal account *and* put in their credit card? i'm a bit confused..
pjs: I believe so, yea.. well, so they say..
I'm logged into their account now
I see their info, but the CC# doesn't show, but I didn't expect it to
up_the_irons: pjs: pm me the username
