boo! howdy. why do I frequently see 40-70% packet loss on my ipv6 uplink? What are you trying to hit? my next hop 2607:f2f8:a9a0::1 from 2607:f2f8:a9a0::2 hmmm I'm not seeing any packet loss to that 2607:f2f8:a9a0::1 :: 6 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 66.7% packet loss I can't hit your source IP at all I can't even get past that device --- 2607:f2f8:a9a0::2 ping6 statistics --- 20 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100.0% packet loss svn same here, no pongs lemme adjust. just a sec alrighty, give it a whirl no changes o i see packets im sure twobithacker knows what to do now I got one response that time. You're not filtering neighbor discovery or something, right? that's weird though, I don't get why it works sometimes yea me neitehr *neither we are in different subnets, so it might be something weird at the router. might need one of the ARP guys to take a look alrighty thanks. i've had better perfomrance of a HE.net tunnel than my native connection through ARP perhaps I fixed the issue. just allowing neighborsol and neighboradv yeah, that looks better now I'm surprised an HE tunnel would be any better, I think ARP peers with HE umm.. ND (neighbor discovery) is intrinsic to IPv6, if you don't let those packets through, don't complain about packet loss it's equivalent to not letting ARP packets through in IPv4 :) yea yea, it's monday :) thanks tho, I think part of my pf config got deleted at some point and I never checked it. hah I was only using my HE tunnel (which passed everything through proto 41), so I never bothered to look ah IPv6 \o/ :)
