It fits this purpose. I haven't tested performance, but it is not causing any headaches at the moment. It is also stable, don't think it has ever crashed. [04:32] +1 for powerdns... though nsd is also pretty nice [04:36] *** [Derek] has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 252 seconds) [04:37] yeah i like nsd too [04:38] *** [Derek] has joined #arpnetworks [04:44] keep meaning to play with the dnssec stuff in powerdns - looks really simple compared to everything else [05:11] *** sramov has joined #arpnetworks [05:11] *** sramov has quit IRC (Client Quit) [05:12] *** sramov has joined #arpnetworks [05:24] up_the_irons: Yeah, pretty much the same reason i'm looking at it. If I asked any of my co-workers to add/update/delete an RR right now (using BIND), they'd be lost. [05:24] yep [05:24] up_the_irons: At least w/ PowerDNS, I could set up one of the existing web front-ends to it or just create my own. [05:24] right [05:25] I *could* hack up a web front-end to do the same, then send dynamic DNS updates directly to BIND but, meh, that sounds dirty.
