sup up_the_irons yo making freebsd 9.1 templates, and then onto making openbsd 5.2 \o/ \m/ up_the_irons: i'm having issues running hte fbsd9.1 installer on kvm with virtio/et al. are you runing ide/scsi drivers? (worked for fbsd9) jbergstroem: yes, we use ide jbergstroem: is virtio the default in 9.1 if you use kvm, or is that still something you need to do manually? up_the_irons: its up to your host/qemu. newer qemu's gives you a lot of choice all virt* drivers are preferable gives both host and vm's better performance rhel6.3 kvm sucks jbergstroem: yes, but what i mean is, will freebsd pick the right driver right out of the installer, or do you have to do something special? up_the_irons: haven't come that far yet since my installer bails pretty early :) ok:) up_the_irons: google tells me that fbsd9.1 supposedly have more than one issue with kvm as host. probably not too hard to solve tho roger there was some issue with cpu instructions if i recall correctly i c i'm already running 9.1 with no issues... so whatver kvm cpu settings are there must be fine.. ^ last i knew aes etc wasn't usable not that it probably makes a huge diff
