mnathani: thought you said "No hurry" ;) mnathani: i'll work on it now Thanks up_the_irons np! For some reason the vnc windows closes right after I login nevermind, for some reason it doesnt like vncviewer, tightvnc works though mnathani: i had problems with the most recent vnc versin and some other version then i reinstalled windows and i can't remember which version worked now, but it was old.. protip, if you live in the country with no noise, unplug all the devices during a power outage, that way you don't crap yourself when they all come back on, loudly, at once. or buy some depends haha I prefer the "Depends," method. Have you ever walked around with your own filth caked between your legs? It's an amazing feeling. TIL. redditor? No (Not sure if that makes it worse) Oh Has anyone looked into the MIT project "MOSH"? I don't suppose I could borrow somebody's help getting the network up and running on a reinstall of OpenBSD 5.1? It hands on boot at "starting network" and setting it up after an install, instead of during, gave me a "device timeout" error. The network looks properly configured. It's an arpnetworks vps http://mosh.mit.edu/ I don't know *BSD, sorry. yeah I just don't know how secure it is mosh-server (mosh 1.1.3) Copyright 2012 Keith Winstein License GPLv3+: GNU GPL version 3 or later . man they didn't even use an MIT license arenlor: thank you anyway phlux: Been using mosh personally for a while, currently debatin with myself and my colleagues on when we feel like trusting it at work too. phlux: Generally the design seem really sensible, and it has gotten quite a bit of attention the last few months, without being proven completly broken. phlux: Also, once you get a bit of latency, you really really apprecaite mosh :) andol: Yeah, I take my laptop on base with me, and tether from my phone, but my phone gets a terrible connection, so SSHing to one of my VPSes to connect to my tmux session is a PITA..I think mosh can alleviate those symptoms. I have a great connection at home, so I'd probably stick with ssh for that Myself I am mostly looking forward to using it against some company servers in China. Doing interactive work across ssh when the Firewall is having a bad day isn't even remotly close to being fun. I can imagine
