awyeah: one cavet with openbsd is that it runs out of ptys if you open too many shells at once
you have to bump up maxusers.
if you use 50+ shells

check out "notion" as a window manager.
it is a fork of ion3
it lets you run lots of workspaces with lots of shells in a nice way
and it doesn't make you continuously drag windows around to get htem out of the way
