pjs: sako_, good question.. probably a little over a year now
sako_, half rack in DTLA -> aws -> rackspace -> ARP.. ARP is the best so far :)
Webhostbudd: what's the cost of colo here?
I've never looked into arp for say a single 2u or 4u and 100mbit

jpalmer: Is there some level of irony in setting up a puppetmaster on EC2, to control KVM hosts?
up_the_irons: jpalmer: a bit
jpalmer: up_the_irons: my kvm server in the home lab also happens to be the only server I can test the baremetal provisioning with. so, I needed another VPS quicklike
***: HighJinx has quit IRC (Quit: Computer has gone to sleep.)
up_the_irons: jpalmer: ah
jpalmer: however, if you are going to be provisioning in the next little but, I'd much rather rent a vps from you for a month or two. (and, itd give you access so you can see the progress if interested)
bleh. hate EC2.
-: jpalmer submits a ticket for a new VPS
up_the_irons: hah ok.. i won't be provisioning now, but i can get that to you later tonight
jpalmer: ya know, i think you still have that other test account (itcookbook or something) up somewhere...
jpalmer: ok. do you have a CentOS yet? or should I ask for ubunto and a C6 iso?
nah, itcookbook is that website a freind and I are working on. we had another test vm for.. erm, something I was working on for you I think.. but can't recall now. but I don't think it's still active (doesn't show under my personal, or itcookbook account)
IIRC is a database backed DNS server, maybe powerDNS or something we were doing for ya
up_the_irons: ah ok
jpalmer: no cent yet, just pick ubuntu and c6 iso
jpalmer: no worries. thanks.
up_the_irons: np!
jpalmer: the third account we have with you, is production also, and 100% unrelated. so, I'll leave that one alone :P
up_the_irons: ok:)
