jbum has quit IRC (Client Quit) phlux: jpalmer: what's the IP? I'll see if I can hit it
Oh, wow
That was 4 hours ago
Haha jpalmer: phlux: thanks. restarted the vps and it started working. not sure what happened.
could hit it over v6, but v4 was a no-go phlux: weird...sounds like someone might've been messing with ifconfig jpalmer: I'm the only one with access, and hadn't changed any configs in.. days phlux: Weird jpalmer: ahh well. I'll chalk it up to an oops since the machine isn't critical. if it happens again, I'll do a RCA ***: RandalSchwartz has joined #arpnetworks qbit_: CaZe: ordered an OE Pharos CaZe: Cool.
I can give you some tips on how to align it.
I sort of worked out my own method. qbit_: nice -: qbit_ is excited qbit_: hopefully it ships before i move :P

heh

omg CaZe: I wonder what number they're at. -: CaZe has #154 qbit_: cool CaZe: Anyway, if you hold it upside down and turn the handle, and see the end of the axle carouseling up and down as it rotates, then it's out of alignment.
I think Doug just does it by sound.
But that doesn't really tell you how far out of alignment it is. qbit_: k CaZe: Even when it looks like its not movign up and down, if you put your finger on it so thet you're touching both the end of the axle and the bronze bearing, you can always feel a little bit of up and down.
And there always will be some.
It's up to you to decide what's acceptable. qbit_: word
still trying to figure out what espresso machine to get
the La Pavoni Europiccola is pretty intimidating as a first machine CaZe: Eh.
Not if you don't mind bad shots.
Just add milk or something.
Or whipped cream. qbit_: heh CaZe: The only drawback really is that it's a one-hit-wonder.
If you want more than one shot, better get something else. qbit_: yeah.. i drink too much coffee as it is CaZe: The basket diameter is only 49 mm, whereas most other machines are 58. qbit_: having one would probably be a good thing CaZe: On the other hand, the machines last forever. qbit_: yeah CaZe: I've been looking at things like the Bacchi though.
OTTO
One or two others.
Whoah, OTTO makes an induction top now, specifically for their machine.
Crazy. qbit_: holy
have any recommendations for a two shot machine like the la pavoni? CaZe: Lever? qbit_: ya CaZe: Some old school commercial lever machine, probably.
OE sells them occasionally.
But they're in the thousands. -: qbit_ can pull twice for that price bump qbit_: or woman can pull her own :D CaZe: See what size basket the Gaggia Achille uses.
Looks like 58. qbit_: ya
