shellox_: It works fine for me in the UK. The latency is about 150ms from my ADSL at home, which is noticable, but the jitter on that is low so it's not too annoying. But I'm not doing too much interactive stuff via it - it's just a backup MX and NS on a different continent to my primary stuff here. there's a speed test file too: http://arpnetworks.com/100mb.bin i know that won't do much to test for latency, but it's something... anyone else having ipv6 issues? my vps is accessible over ipv4, ipv6 is... at best ridiculously lossy. (I can't tell, other than an existing connection doesn't seem quite dead, ping is though) Seeing 50% packet loss from atl ~90% packet loss. ^ atl? See those pingouts? atlanta ... oh, right, you're in ... right. My ipv6 irc connections just timed out on 3 other networks sorry, brain misfired. "Arp is in Atlanta now?" Haha. Nah well that's annoying, but at least it's still up. yeah, ipv6 losses nearly 99% even to ipv6.google.com from my vps can't get a useful traceroute, which I guess means it's an arp-local issue :P someone open a ticket or something? I can never remember my support details :P guess it's back. strange, my connection hung and i couldn't get to port 22 but i could ping someone reboot a firewall or something? Port 22 is rate limiited for syns I believe I would have ssh running on an additional port sounds good. a bit more secure that way too (I ran into that issue a few times before somebody clued me in) oh yea, thanks! :) sorry got into another conversation hehe np Good Evening All!!! I had a quick question. I was wondering if there were a good free dyndns alternative for just basic domain registration with dynamic ip(dhcp). I was using Dyndns first, however it appears that they recently just changed their overall policies, and service packaging. Thus, no longer offering the free-option. Any thoughts?? They now only have a 1-month free trial and then one must pay, this is just for personal use, and is used by 15 different people or so at max. Its not like it needs to be the premo premo caviar of premium DNS accounts and dynamic domain name hosting, with unlimited access/etc... Just something simple
