Tabmow, since switching to them about 8 months ago, I've been more than happy with the service tabmow, and not only that.. but I cut like $100/mo off my cost for the same services at Rackspace. I do wish we could backup or restore images on the fly, but that's still a little ways away from what up_the_irons has said Cool... I really need to replace a dedicated server I have which I am paying around $40/month for depending on the exchange rate... arpnetworks or nqhost are looking good so far Yea, ARP is great man Plus they offer FreeBSD.. which is a HUGE plus for me been on arp for about a year I think, no problems and have two VPSs for 1/2 the price of my previous one leased server. plus the VPSs have much better IO performance (although smaller storage) Yeah that was the reason I chose a dedicated servers a few years back, no-one was really doing freebsd vps's back then. Tabmow: I'm really impressed with them. better disk IO than a lot of much-higher-priced vps's. Tabmow: arp is awesome, IF you don't need support often. If you are self sufficient, and can maintain your vps instance.. they are hard to beat. Tabmow: but to be blunt, if you are someone who needs support regularly, and need a pretty immediate response.. arp may not be for you. jpalmer: it looks like their management console does everything I need... It's pretty common for people to drop in here complaining about the support turn around time, which is clearly stated on ARP's site... I really want to test the performance of it before. we don't have trial accounts, but I doubt you will be unhappy with the performance and if you are, there's a 30 day refund policy up_the_irons: ok thanks, but I'm located in germany, so I'm not sure if the latency is too big etc. A test would be pretty useful to find it out ;-)
