i don't know of any 100% way to protect against DoS, but if you don't do stupid stuff you generally won't be a target
and if you stupid stuff and make yourself a target, arp probably isn't the best vps provider for you
Guest76596: There isn't automagical protection, but the admins here are competant and can help when a DDOS is detected.
jlgaddis: There was some weird DDOS over IPv6 a few months back.
Not sure exactly what that was about.
If you're the reason the network is getting DDoS'd, your service will be terminated. There's little tolerance for that. But if you're completely legitimate, then there's nothing to worry about.
The thing about DDOS is that even if the service is terminated the attack doesn't instantly go away.
So theres time for asking questions.
