[04:26] in a very overdue fashion, there is now a new "Credit Card" link on the Portal dashboard, where one can submit a new credit card [04:26] *** baklava has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 258 seconds) [04:45] congrats :) [04:50] :) [04:51] Awesome. [04:52] and the billing address info is pre-populated from your profile (conveniences!) [11:19] now they are talking about wanting to sue me [11:20] seriously, I hate stupid stuff like this :( [11:22] they claimed something happened yesterday - I'm guessing logs stay around that long, right? [11:26] And something tells me that this all because one person forgot their email password or something stupid like that [11:57] mick_laptop, that's happened to me before [11:57] bummer man [11:59] what did you do? [12:00] you know the advice that reddit always gives? (don't stick your dick in crazy) [12:00] that could be expanded to "don't work for crazy" [12:00] Yea, but you can never really tell who crazy is [12:01] very true [12:01] mick_laptop, my situation was slightly different. They kept backups running to a service I was paying for (they were a client of mine).. I had emails, chat logs proving I told them the DB backups were still going to MY paid account and they need to move it.. They never did.. Their server crashed, data went bye bye and they said I hacked it on purpose [12:02] because they owed me money and I held the backups for "ransom" [12:02] they also owed me money [12:02] well, they sued me, had some priority on it so we were in court pretty quickly.. I produced the documents and they had NO proof I did anything wrong [12:02] so they paid me money owed, I gave the backup [12:02] (which I had no obligation to do) [12:02] but still, it did cost me legal fees :-/ [12:02] but I felt bad for them - so I never pressed the issue (they were sued by every company that did work w/ them) [12:03] so in the end, I'd rather it just never happened [12:03] exactly [12:03] mick_laptop, what company is this? [12:03] ahh [12:06] can I have the last comment taken from the logs? [12:07] I was going to /msg it [12:08] heh [12:08] I'm not in the mood to have it logged [12:08] I don't want it to be conscrewed as saying anything "bad" about them [12:09] if you know what I mean [12:09] I hear ya [12:09] who maintains the logs? [12:09] i noticed that it is logged online [12:10] there is some command to op out of the logging [12:10] cannot remember it though ;( [12:10] you'd have to have opted out before saying that thing [12:10] s/op/opt [12:10] ye [12:11] http://irclogger.arpnetworks.com/irclogger_log/arpnetworks?date=2011-12-08,Thu&raw=on [12:11] :o [12:11] hehe [12:13] !seen [12:14] up_the_irons was last seen at a bit before 5am PST by my logs [12:17] what is better? custom iso install or should I go from lenny->wheezy? [12:18] I'm guessing that it will be faster to just go w/ lenny [12:19] btw: I like the new site :) [12:29] mick_laptop: I like dynadot.com, but.. if you ask 10 people, you'll get 10 answers. [12:29] and yes, dynadot support IPv6 glue records if you want/need.
