mike-burns: so you can see unicode chars in weechat now? :) i keep reading weechat as weedchat raptelan: oh man, it isn't that way any more. ISPs can't get more IPs easily. last time I tried it was a bitch. I have four netblocks from ARIN and each one was harder to get than the last lol raptelan: mhoran : you guys probably mean ARIN, not IANA. IANA only gives IPs to the RIRs (and there are no more IPs left in IANA, so that's a mute point), and then from there, the RIRs give them to ISPs. In the US, the RIR is ARIN Morning! airports are boring mornin! They sure are. It's busier than expected though. up_the_irons: I sure can see Unicode now. Life is much improved. JFK is busier than expected on Thanksgiving morning? Unsure what you expected ... (moot point) On Thanksgiving? Fairly light. up_the_irons: isn't it a horribly inefficient use of IP's to assign small blocks to each VPS? Each customer has their own VLAN, so that's the only way to do it. yes, but why? what's the advantage of having a vlan? raptelan: traffic segregation ; can span vlan to other services (e.g. colo and dedicated servers); etc...
