Where are the VPS instances housed.. on a SAN, or on local server hard drives?
does arpnetworks do ssh rate limiting? I noticed if I ssh rapidly I'll get blocked for a little bit

I have the same problem, sometimes
should be fine.. the only reason why i noticed is because i was setting the same feature up my self in packetfilter, but looks like I don't need to now :)

anoek: yes,  ARP rate limits inbound SSH connections.
Hmm, the block seems to effect me weirdly -- everytime I get a timeout (for example due to a local wifi disconnect) and then try to reconnect to my server I have to wait out the 60 seconds
why on earth would a local wifi disconnect-type timeout result in my local ssh client sending enough syns to trigger the block
