ziyourenxiang: hi all. i see that ubuntu 10.04 is one of the available OSes. when you install, do you get the X-less server, or the full works, or does the default installation ISO give you the choice?
(currently running freebsd, may need to switch to linux, as much as i prefer to stick with what i have.)
jlgaddis: ziyourenxiang: i would think that there's no gui installed based on what i know about the others, but that's just a guess
ziyourenxiang: ok thanks. you run freebsd or something else?
-: ziyourenxiang still figuring out ubuntu in server mode, setting up LXC corresponding to freebsd jails, etc.
jlgaddis: freebsd and debian
ziyourenxiang: debian 5?
jlgaddis: 6
ziyourenxiang: i'll give that a whirl too. just don't want to get my box rooted the weekend i switch. :-)

arenlor: why do people think it's so easy to root a box?
b1k3ryd3r: ignorance I suppose
RandalSchwartz: they've only dealt with windows? :)
arenlor: Both good answers, but I think that using only windows would leave you ignorant.
RandalSchwartz: Any chance of livestream tonight?
RandalSchwartz: Might be
