There are a couple mods to allow server side javascript, but that's just wrong.
My question is, why the fuck am I being connected to European IRC servers while up_the_irons is connected to one in NJ?

Yeah I'm connected to a euro server too (doing SOCKS proxy from uni in Australia to VPS)
But I don't care which freenode server I use.

I know, let's send everybody to a random server a few timezones away.
The main reason people recommend its use is to guarantee that you don't hit a server that's split from the rest of the network
But apparently they don't use a geo round robin here like they do over at, say, OFTC
