if you installed the freebsd bootloader single user  should be an option on your bootmenu (the one with the ascii art beastie)
it's the version that came with my join here. I didn't install it.

I am running OpenBSD here, so I don't know about particularities with FreeBSD image on arpnetworks
another path you might try is using the vnc console to boot from CD and use the rescue system on there.
well then I had better get the vnc console running.
I didn't see any boot from CD option in the SSH options.
Maybe I missed it.
no it's a (virtual) bios thing, so it's only there on vnc

anybody know if you get a 2nd vps if it's easy for them to put it in the same /29 as your existing one so they can share the IP pool?
thinking of adding one but don't really need more IP space
should be.  I didn't get my /29 until my second vps, in which I had to upgrade to a /29

wallshot: yeah, upgrading to a /29 is required for a 2nd vps if you don't have one already.  vps' under the same account always share the same IP pool
