anybody here running netbsd? freebsd! FreeBSD for life and beyond! lol CentOS and RHEl, and FreeBSD! no linux for me I like to sleep at night sleep!? at night!?! thats the best time to get work done! opsview+foreman+puppet == a good nights sleep. how fast do you get back to fix a zeroday? far more of those for linux than for any of the BSDs depends on the scope of the threat. just like any other OS. if it's something that affects us, and the likelyhood of it being problematic is high, I push out a fix or workaround immediately after it's tested. if it doesn't impact us, I don't. the OS wars, are retarded. the OS is simply a tool to get a job done. and managing *any* OS, follows the same fundamentals and principles, as any other OS. Editor wars are dumb, too. chmod -R 700 /* agreed, and language wars, mta wars, etc no one can mess with that ! use what you like, I'll use what I like. what is there to debate :P There are a few objective things to debate. I'm sure. vi is better than ed for day-to-day programming. the only time I care about *your* usage or preferences, is when we're forced to co-admin machines :P (and with puppet, I sometimes don't even care then. because if you are logging into a machine (other than in the lab).. you're doing something wrong. FreeBSD is still the best ok ive forgotten how to use windows... it's like a camera. point. click. shoot. anyone else seeing lag through savvis? look good for me btw hey up_the_irons :) how u doing RvN: i'm good, how are you? fine thx
