I know this is unlikely, but is it possible to downgrade a package without losing the data on my VPS (ie. not having to start over from scratch) ?
I had grand plans for mine, but its ended up just being a very expensive screen/irssi host.
you can reduce mem/bw possibly but reducing disk space is not typically possible w/out restarting. technically it would be possible to give you a 2nd disk for a shirt bit so you could move things over to it and then boot off the 2nd disk to reduce disk space after the 1st was removed .. dunno if that's possible, may be easier just to order another vps in the smaller category and move things over, then discontinue your first
that's certainly feasible (the latter). Afterall, it's just screen/irssi on that box anyway.
ah well, ill worry about it later. already paid for this month anyway.
