G: Sounds like mine, except I did it with vlans (thanks to having a real switch): printers, wireless, two wired vlans, game consoles, servers.
gave me a chance to learn how to do vlan trunking and tagging with windows, linux and freebsd.

G: A friend lent me a 3750G and some 802.11n Aironet APs, so I've been playing with that stuff.  Massive overkill, but it's cool to see it identify interference sources.

Well, I got it from a friend who's start-up went under.  He grabbed a bunch of the network gear and servers as severance and this stuff is part of that.
