G only five? :) pilgrimd: yeah, ADSL Router->Linux Router, Main network, segregated wifi x2 (trusted & untrusted) & VMs G: Sounds like mine, except I did it with vlans (thanks to having a real switch): printers, wireless, two wired vlans, game consoles, servers. gave me a chance to learn how to do vlan trunking and tagging with windows, linux and freebsd. avergae home needs two? oh. subnets. not.. .ips. I CAN READ up_the_irons lol tooth ;) pilgrimd: actually, mine is done both my physical networks & VLANs pilgrimd: my Wireless AP/Main Switch does VLANs (thanks to openwrt!) G: your home network sounds like mine i have far too much network kit here :/ G: A friend lent me a 3750G and some 802.11n Aironet APs, so I've been playing with that stuff. Massive overkill, but it's cool to see it identify interference sources. pilgrimd: ha, nice G: Yeah, I'm going to be disappointed when I have to give the gear back and reinstall my old Dlink DWL-7200AP. pilgrimd: they won't take a "My dog ate it" excuse? Well, I got it from a friend who's start-up went under. He grabbed a bunch of the network gear and servers as severance and this stuff is part of that. pilgrimd: what was the startup doing?
