is it hard to add more disk to a zfs volume?
does it recognize it automatically?
it depends what type of zfs volume it is
if it's RAID Z, you can't
no - it's just a single volume
otherwise it should be pretty simple
I'm counting on the raid10 beneath for raid
simple how
add the disk to the pool
and then there's something else you need to do as well
I can't remember, it's been ages
well - I want only one disk, but bigger
you can have a spanned disk
I don't think ARP supports multiple mounted disks long-term
made up of disks in a disk pool
just as a temporary measuire
RandalSchwartz: we do support 2nd,3rd, etc... disk volumes
ok - that'd be simple, because I can have multiple volumes in the same pool
just like inserting another disk into your computer; it's no problem
I'll ask neil how much space he really wants to pay for :)
probably double on maayan
brb
I wonder if up_the_irons could price letting my VM just have access to a pair of raw drives, so I can run ZFS as it is meant to be run
I mean, yes, it's silly to run zfs in non raid mode on a traditional raid10 pair
nah, there are no raw drives available in any of the machines
