greetings greetings OpenBSD amd64 works without disabling mpbios on qemu-kvm-0.12.5 according Guest status page. Are we running on 0.12.5? Sunil: doesn't matter the version of kvm, it matters the version of bios it runs. sadly, the version of bios that doesn't have the mpbios bug also doesn't have the F12 for cdrom option which is considered a required feature of arp kvm offerings. sad in that it doesn't have F12. I'm with the majority that would be very unhappy if the F12 feature went away. toddf: pretty sure Sunil left hours ago :) maybe he'll read backlog from fbi also, isn't the F12 as a result of changing which BIOS' are used, not really a KVM change itself I think it's more something changed between seabios 0.5 & 0.6 RandalSchwartz: flying to NZ? no... to FLL why would you think I'm going to NZ? :) interesting lots of people, not so much with the talking Just recently purchased an arp networks freebsd vps Ripper^^: welcome aboard! :) Thanks. Where are you from G? so, dumb question, if i'm only opening certain ports, ssh, smtp, www, etc. Do I need to implement a firewall? I consider it part of best practices to enable a packet filter on a server. For an end-node device, it's pretty simple and with the right filter language, it can be downright trivial. True enough, thanks.
