how do i boot to a single user mode ?

i need run mergemaster -p
shutdown now
and then use the VNC or ssh console
it will just reboot?
or just shutdown

reboot means reboot :)

oops, i didn't mean to :(
you can put the machine into single user also by running init 1
you can exit single user by terminating the single user mode shell
there's no need to reboot unless you've updated the kernel
s'all in the fbsd manual :P
