smaller irc servers are just as big of targets for ddos jdoe: freenode also suffers from terminal stupidity, ie the javascript-based attacks of a year or so ago vcs: sometimes even more so
due to obusive operator behavio jdoe: because whoever configures the servers decided anti-spoofing protection, that's been in every ircd since the dawn of time, was no longer necessary :P vcs: spoofing is the dumbest idea ever

it just means they will packet your server
